Mark Mann Sr. – Owner & President

Over the years, Mark’s key decision making has helped turn what was once a small butcher shop into what is now, Minnesota’s Largest Independently Owned Foodservice Provider. With over 35 years of hands-on leadership experience, Mark has formed critical business partnerships and hired key personnel to ensure the long term success of Swanson Meats. With Mark’s “can do attitude” Swanson Meats has been able to accomplish more than he could have ever imagined. Mark is known for his honest approach to business as well as putting his customers first! Outside of work Mark enjoys spending time with family, friends, and his customers. Mark also likes to hunt, downhill ski, and ride his motorcycle.

Bob KohnSenior Plant Manager

Bob has worked in the foodservice industry since 1978 and with Swanson Meats for over 25 years. Bob has a degree in Culinary Arts, as well as certifications in Food Safety, HACCP Requirements and OSHE compliance. Bob’s foodservice experience extends from prep cook, to catering supervisor. From overseeing a multiple restaurant commissary, to his current position at Swanson Meats. One of Bob’s greatest strengths is his product knowledge and work ethic. Bob also possesses skills that encompass everything from warehouse management, product processing, and embracing client relationships. Away from work Bob and his wife are avid hikers and enjoy being outdoors and traveling to new and exciting places.

Bob Schuneman – Chief Operating Officer

After nearly ten years in restaurant management, Bob transitioned to foodservice distribution in 2006 where he has worked in a variety of industry roles.  Bob has served as Chief Operating Officer for Swanson Meats since 2006.  Throughout his career, Bob has volunteered in the community in various ways, including serving on non-profit boards of directors and as a founding member of the Ramsey County Food & Nutrition Commission.  He enjoys teaching college courses in marketing, negotiation, and supply chain management through Metropolitan State University.

Fred Williams – Senior Accounting Manager

Fred started his career as an Audit Assistant with a small CPA firm nearly 20 years ago, and later moved over to commercial banking, insurance, mortgage and investments. He joined Swanson Meats over 9 years ago and has continued to strive to make accounting and other financial information useful for decision-making, especially as the company continues to grow. His greatest strength is analyzing financial information so that it becomes relevant to an ordinary user. Away from work, Fred spends time with family and friends. Fred also spends time volunteering with family, church or fellow SMUMN alumni at his favorite charity, Feed my Starving Children.

Tim Bartusch – Senior Production Manager

Tim joined the Swanson Meats team in 2009. Tim brought with him, expertise in production management and product cutting. Tim has over 35 years of foodservice industry experience in sales, purchasing, and operations. Tim’s knowledge and expertise in operations has helped Swanson Meats sales staff and customers with cost saving menu options to help maximize profits in today’s tough economy. Tim enjoys the “Hands On” culture and “Yes We Can Attitude” at Swanson Meats. Outside of work, Tim enjoys the outdoors and spending time with family.
